Recently, our valued partners Deep Blue, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and SAERCO came together at the Jerez Airport Control Tower in Spain to conduct the first field visit for the ATMACA HMI design.
SAERCO, as an experienced ANSP, opened the doors to a real operational air traffic control environment, offering invaluable insights to our researchers. Deep Blue kicked off the design planning phase by leveraging its user-centered design expertise and engaging in on-site observations. Universidad Politécnica de Madrid joined the visit to deepen its understanding of the ATCO perspective, which is essential for developing a CPDLC application. During the visit, operational needs and the concept of a digitally enhanced CPDLC design were thoroughly discussed.
This collaborative effort once again highlights ATMACA’s commitment to operational excellence and user-centric innovation.
